ELDER ABUSE: The Crime of the 21st Century

Crooks and con artists are becoming more creative and daring in their efforts to deplete the life savings of seniors. This course will include tips to help you reduce the risk of becoming the next victim and strategies developed locally and across the country to combat the rising tide of elder exploitation. Orange County has led the way through the development of FAST – the Financial Abuse Specialist Team, and the creation of forensic elder centers that offer wrap-around services for elder victims, thanks to the pioneering efforts of Dr. Laura Mosqueda from the UCI Medical Center.
