Human skin varies between continents and populations. Why did it evolve this way? What is the role of skin color in skin cancer? How is pigment involved in human disease? In this lecture we explore the latest evolution of skin color in populations, describe the fundamental role of pigmentation in cancer prevention and explore the latest information on the etiology and treatment for pigment disorder.
