CREATIVE WRITING FOR POTENTIAL AUTHORS
AH 109

Celebrate your inner author in a month-long journey in creative writing. This course will focus on the short story and creative essays, but the writing skills are applicable to longer works as well. Literary elements such as point of view, dialogue, plot structure, and characterization will be studied. There will be classroom exercises, discussion, and small group sharing of pieces written at home between classes.

NOTE: Enrollment is limited to 15 registered participants.

Discussion Facilitators will be chosen from members enrolled in the course.

Presenter: Jeanie Fritzsche
is a published short story writer. She was the Curriculum Coordinator in the Irvine School District where she taught the elements of writing to high school English teachers.
