We will drill down to the challenges that the “lying environment” presents to a democratic society. Truth decay, fake news, disinformation, virtual reality, information architectures, user interfaces, artificial intelligence, algorithms, and alternative facts are creating an information-saturated society, and most of us are completely in the dark about how it operates.
