PHP Fundamentals

PHP is the most popular server-side scripting language that powers hundreds of millions of web sites worldwide. This hands-on PHP Fundamentals course provides the basic knowledge and web programming concepts necessary to design and develop dynamic, database-driven web pages. You will learn the fundamentals of the PHP programming language, how to write and debug PHP code, how to effectively use many of its powerful features, and how to design and build your own PHP web sites. This course covers topics such as data types and comparison operators, functions, strings and arrays, loops, control and decision structures, and PHP web development concepts. You will also learn how to design and create a web database using the popular MySQL DBMS to function as a backend database system for your dynamic PHP web applications. OR I&C SCI X470.90 Introduction to Web Programming w/ HTML5 & CSS3. Recommended Prerequisite: I&C SCI X470.91 Web Programming II: JavaScript & React. Prior database development experience is helpful but not required
