The nursing field is growing—with estimates topping nearly 20% through 2020*—and medical cosmetic procedures are more popular than ever. Within the field, nurses improve the appearance of patients through procedures including neurotoxin injections (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin), facial volume replacement therapy, chemical peels, intense pulsed light and laser treatments, among other procedures.
By partnering with UC Irvine’s Nursing Science Program, the UCI Division of Continuing Education allows nurses at all career levels to specialize through continuing education coursework. The aesthetic courses introduce the licensed clinician to specific treatments and administration, and provide a foundation from which to practice.
