The Oracle programs are currently on hold while we work on an exciting new programs that are focused on two cloud database environment models: 1) Traditional cloud models and 2) Database-as-a-service (DBaaS). DBaaS technologies offer unparalleled scaling possibilities, cost efficiencies and use the very latest technologies available. Our new program will focus primarily on DBaaS technologies, used widely across the tech industry including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, Microsoft's Azure platform, Oracle Database as a Service, as well as a whole host of new Cloud DBaaS technologies. We are planning on this program launching in mid 2019. Students who wish to find substitutions to finish out their Oracle certificates should email the Program Manager.
The Oracle Database Management System is one of the most widely used enterprise systems ever developed. For robust, reliable data management in mission-critical operations, Oracle is often the product of choice for large organizations. Today, companies need highly skilled applications developers to design, create, and implement GUI applications to interact with databases.
UCI Division of Continuing Education is a participant in Oracle's Workforce Development Program, which allows us to offer Oracle-certified courses using the same course materials that are used in Oracle University's programs for their corporate clients. Our instructors have undergone rigorous Oracle training themselves and have years of experience working and consulting in various corporations.
