According to PwC’s Sports Outlook report, the North American sports market media rights, ticket, sponsorship, and merchandising revenues accounted for a total of $71 billion dollars in 2018. As viewer consumption models and fan behavior shifts with digital innovation, sports organizations will evolve to offer exciting new experiences for their fans. The Sport Management certificate program prepares entry level and experienced professionals for opportunities in the business of sports, athletics, and exercise. If you're passionate about sports or personal fitness and want to create a viable career for yourself in the industry then this program is for you.

Learn How To Earn Your CertificateSpecialized Studies Award Requirements

A specialized studies certificate is awarded upon successful completion of four required courses totaling 12 units. Students must earn a letter grade of “C” or better in each course in order to be eligible for the specialized studies award. To receive your digital certificate, submit a Request for Certificate with a non-refundable $35 application fee after completing all program requirements. Students not pursuing a specialized studies award are welcome to take as many individual courses as they wish.

English Proficiency Requirement
All certificate programs at UCI Division of Continuing Education (classroom and online formats) require professional-level English language proficiency in listening and note-taking, reading comprehension and vocabulary, written expression, and oral presentation.
