Overview

As a first-time leader in this program, students will develop critical skills including keeping employees engaged and performing their best, navigating challenging conversations with direct reports, as well as successfully presenting and communicating information to senior leadership. Students will also learn a great deal about themselves as they create a personal leadership style and build confidence through practicing various techniques by role-playing in a safe and engaging learning environment.

All courses are three units; approximately 30 hours of evaluated learning.

To earn a Specialized Studies Award, individuals must complete all three courses with a grade of “C” or better for a total of nine quarter units (90 hours of instruction).

English Proficiency Requirement
All certificate programs at UCI Division of Continuing Education (classroom and online formats) require professional-level English language proficiency in listening and note-taking, reading comprehension and vocabulary, written expression, and oral presentation.
