Spanish Language Proficiency Requirement: The Interpretation certificate program requires Spanish Language proficiency in reading comprehension, vocabulary, written expression, and oral presentation. We recommend that prospective students pass a 24-question entry assessment, but not a requirement.

Overview

Are you bilingual in Spanish and English and interested in increasing your effectiveness as a communicator? The Interpretation certificate program will improve your Spanish language interpreting skills in a variety of settings.

According to an IBISWorld Industry Report, increasing globalization and trade furthers demand for interpretation services related to legal contracts and business communication. Immigration from non-English-speaking countries into the United States increases the need for communicators who can interpret other languages for their colleagues and clients.

Individuals bilingual in Spanish and English interested in providing interpretation at their workplace and existing translators who a pursuing interpretation opportunities.
